The big idea

A finance dashboard that answers to you, not a vendor.

Personal finance apps ship your accounts to someone else's cloud and sell you back a view of your own money. Life Command inverts that: the whole console runs on the owner's machine, reads accounts read-only through Plaid, and never accepts a connection from outside.

AI is on tap, but on a leash. A daily run drafts recommendations into an approval queue where nothing acts without an explicit human yes.

Local only

The app runs on localhost and accepts no connection from outside that machine. Read-only, it cannot move money.

Human-approved

The AI proposes into a queue. Only masked, credential-free summaries ever leave, and only to generate written analysis.

Balances, transactions, holdings, and liabilities pulled through Plaid, read-only, grouped by institution.

Receipt reconciliation

Emailed receipts parsed from multiple mailboxes and matched to posted charges, automatically.

Savings goals with contribution matching and pace tracking against real cash flow.

Reports

Cash-flow Sankey views, month-over-month and year-over-year trends, and business tax exports.

AI advisory, human-approved

A daily Claude run proposes actions into a queue. Nothing executes without an explicit approval.

Categorization

A rule-based pipeline with merchant mapping and a review queue for anything unclear.

How it works

Link, reconcile, review

Link an institution

Connect accounts read-only through Plaid. Tokens are encrypted at the app layer and destroyed the moment you unlink.

It categorizes and reconciles

Transactions are categorized by rule and merchant, and emailed receipts are matched to posted charges.

Review the advisory queue

Open the daily recommendations, approve what makes sense, dismiss the rest. You stay in control.

Transparency

How your data is handled

This is a single-user application. The owner is also the only data subject.

Account connections. Account connections are provided by Plaid. Data used: account balances, transactions, investment holdings, and liabilities. Read-only, the application cannot move money.
Where it runs. The application runs entirely on the owner's own machine. It accepts no connections from outside that machine.
Who uses it. There is exactly one user, who is also the only data subject. No other person's data is collected, processed, or stored.
No sale of data. Financial data is never sold. Derived, masked summaries, containing no account numbers and no credentials, are sent to the Anthropic API to generate written financial analysis. That is the only external processor besides Plaid.
Access tokens. Plaid access tokens are encrypted at the application layer and destroyed immediately when an institution is unlinked.
Sign-in. Sign-in requires a password plus a mandatory time-based one-time code, with automatic session re-locking.
Transport. All traffic to Plaid and the model API uses TLS 1.2 or better.
Retention. Financial data is kept while the institution link is active and is deletable at any time. Unmatched email-receipt artifacts are archived automatically after 90 days.

Plaid publishes its own end-user privacy policy at plaid.com/legal, which describes how Plaid handles the data it passes to connected applications.
